William “Bill” Crissman, 94, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on April 28, 2025, in the Letort Springs Nursing Home. He was born April 2, 1931, in Newport, PA, to the late Emmett “Woody” and Mary Elizabeth Dunn.
Bill was a graduate of Newport High School class of 1950 and was an Air Force Veteran of 4 years. He was airman of the month while stationed in Korea in 1953. Bill belonged to the 49th and 58th fighter bomber Croups and Sampson Reunion Association. He was a F.A.A. licensed Aircraft mechanic and worked at many air bases. After moving many times, Bill got into electric construction working for Carlisle Electric for 11 years. He then went onto work for Willow Oak and Cherry Wood Buildings for 12 and a half years. Bill loved traveling in his motor home with his wife and Nipper, their dog.
Surviving Bill is his stepson, Gary Day (Natalie) of Gardners; grandchildren, Jennifer Ramona and Jeremy Crissman. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Helen for 40 some lovely years; brothers, Dub and Jack; sisters, Jean, Marie Dudley, Ginny Campbell, and Marg.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating.
