William Austin Jr.

William A. Austin Jr., 79, of South Middleton Twp., Gardners, passed away at his home on Friday, April 25, 2014. He was born May 21, 1934 in Camden, NJ to the late William A. and Sarah Jester Austin Sr. William retired from Continental Life Insurance Co. as the regional manager and was of the Lutheran faith.  Memberships included:  life member of the West Shore BPOE, life member of the Carlisle VFW #477 and a member of the South Mountain American Legion #674. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

William is survived by his wife, Janet Joyce Berkebile Austin; a son, William J. Austin of Gardners and three daughters, Joylyn B. (William) Conklin of York Springs, Brenda A. (Patrick) Orlousky of Gardners and Christine N. (Arthur) Titzel of Camp Hill. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Sean Orlousky, Meghan Conklin, Kayleigh & Annalise Titzel, and two sisters, Betty Beck of Florida and Mildred Chelko of Vandergrift, PA.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
