Wendy Smith

Wendy S. Smith, 50, of Gardners, PA died suddenly on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at home.  She was born in Carlisle, PA on April 30, 1962 to the late Richard and Shirley L. Franklin Smith.

Prior to Wendy’s mother’s death in 2010 she enjoyed going with her to play Bingo at the local firehalls.  Since then she has been playing all the time on her computer.  She also enjoyed her pet cat and cats in general.

Wendy is survived by her companion, Richard A. Todt with whom she resided; two sons, Brad Lee Yost of Wellsville and Troy A. Yost of Etters; a brother, Richard Lee Smith and his wife Anna of Shippensburg; and two granddaughters, Macala and Tristen, both of Carlisle, PA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Dr., with the Reverends Richard L. Reese and Kenneth Franklin (Uncle to Wendy).  There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening at the church from 6-7 PM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, Olde Liberty Square, 4813 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17109.  Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Hollly Springs, PA.
