Wayne (Cruncher) A. Bosserman
Wayne (Cruncher) A. Bosserman, 72, of York Springs, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at his residence. He was born January 17, 1950, in Gettysburg, PA, to the late Albert L. and Sara (Hare) Bosserman.
Wayne retired from Giant Foods, after 16 years, where he worked as a gas pump attendant in Dillsburg. From 1977 to 1990 he owned and operated Bosserman’s Grocery in York Springs. He also volunteered for the York Springs Fire Company No. 1 and was a statistician for the Bermudian Springs Football program for many years where he was also a 1968 graduate. In his earlier years he also coached little league baseball teams in York Springs, was member and past officer of the Bermudian Springs Sports Boosters and Mayor of York Springs.
He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Kennedy (Claude) of Gardners and Jayne Bosserman of York Springs; nieces, Sherri Hawk (Robert) of York Springs and Stacey Prosser (Kevin) of Gardners; great-nieces and nephews, Olivia Prosser, Andon Hawk, Clarissa Prosser and Avery Hawk and a special caregiver, Penny Davis. He was predeceased by his brother, David L. Bosserman.
A celebration of life service will be Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the York Springs Fire Company No. 1, 312 Main St, York Springs, PA 17372 with Rev. Julia Beall officiating. Afterwards will be a time of fellowship and reminiscing. For anyone that knew Wayne knew that he loved to tell stories and up until the very end he could tell a great one. Please continue his love that day by sharing your stories with each other and laughing like he would want you to continue his tradition. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the York Springs Fire Co, 312 Main St, York Springs, PA 17372 or to Bermudian Springs Football, c/o BSHS, 7335 Carlisle Pike, York Springs, PA 17372. Cremation and interment will be at the convenience of the family at Mt. Olivet UCC cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs. Family of Wayne
He was always a pleasant businessman at his 2 different locations of his stores in York Springs.
He was always involved in the community with fire co and with youth and school activities. Ge enjoyed being on football team to keep stats.
He was a fan of any athletics and supported the teams.
Remember your memories over the years and know you did what you could for him and his health conditions.

Wayne was very special to me. We were very close when I was in HS, him chauffeuring to many away games. There were many good times he shared with my family. My prayers are with the family as they go through this difficult time. ❤️🙏
