Sylvia Kay Rhoades

Sylvia Kay Rhoades, 80, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on December 25, 2023, peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 1, 1943, in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Robert and Opal (Schenk) McLaughlin.

Sylvia loved to go to Potter County to stay at their family cabin. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Sylvia also opened her home to people who needed a place to stay.

Surviving is her husband, Dwight Rhoades of Mt. Holly Springs; children, Lorri (Gene) Bowers of Mt. Holly Springs, Mark Rhoades of Carlisle, and Lisa (Chris) Jumper of Newville; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and sister, Sherry Morrison of Carlisle. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Matt Rhoades.
