Shirley Cornillon

Shirley J. Cornillon, 74, of Gardners, PA, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Select Hospital at Harrisburg Hospital. She was born January 15,1944 in St. Louis, MO to the late Dan and Beatrice Johnson Hubert. Shirley’s career began as treasurer and bookkeeper, then residential instructor for Deaf Referral Services in Baltimore MD; followed by proof operator and encoder, then lead operator at Bank of Baltimore; customer service representative at Federal Trust Financial; reconciler/evaluation clerk at Nations Bank’s Operation Center in Baltimore; receptionist, then medical receptionist in surgery at St. Agnus Hospital in Baltimore, finally, crisis hotline operator, then office assistant, then deputy director’s receptionist for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City.  She had many hobbies including: painting, reading, cooking, music, crossword puzzles, cryptograms, traveling and participating inartists’ clubs.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, John R. Cornillon; a son, Terrence (Cheryl) McLorn of Baltimore MD; five daughters, Adrienne (Bruce) Whittington, Robin McLorn and Tiffaney Guthrie, all of Baltimore MD, Carlinda (Kevin) Butler of Allentown, PA, and Cheryl (Regginald) Spencer of East St. Louis, IL, and her sister-in-law,Louise Hubert of East St. Louis, IL. Preceding her in death: her twin brother, Sherman Hubert and her son, Rodney Guthrie. Shirley dearly loved and was loved by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Viewing will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, August 18, 2018 and services at 2:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
