Shirley J. (Bream) Gibb

Shirley J. (Bream) Gibb, 90, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2025, in the Menno Haven Nursing Home in Chambersburg. She was born on January 29, 1935, in Gardners, PA, to the late Oren and Ivy (Glass) Bream and was the widow of Barry L. Gibb, who passed away in December of 2024, after 67 years of marriage.

Shirley was a Boiling Springs High School graduate and was a life member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, and solving crosswords and puzzles and aimed for perfection in all that she did.

Surviving are her loving daughters, LeeAnne Burd of Carlisle and Mindy Bressler (Jeffrey) Bressler of York; three grandchildren, Shannon (Patrick) Hammer, Jeffrey Bressler, Jr., and Danielle (Fred) Guilles; two great grandchildren, Landon and Bentley. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Hair.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1:30 PM in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery, 2 Watts Street, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor Titus Clarke officiating.
