Shirlene M. Kutz

Mt. Holly Springs

Shirlene M. Kutz, 87, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2026. She was born July 22, 1939, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, to the late Paul G. and Elsie M. (Franklin) Fahnestock. She was the widow of her loving husband, David G. Kutz who passed away in December of 2023.

Shirlene worked for McCoy Electronics and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle and Mt. Holly Springs Church of God. She was also a member of the Mt. Holly Springs VFW Post 7343 Ladies Auxiliary and the Mt. Holly Springs American Legion Auxiliary Post 674.

Shirlene had a sparkle that never dulled. A proud West Virginian at heart, she was always happy and ready for an adventure. She cherished her daily walks on Timber Ln and could often be found reading on her patio in the sun. She was known for her strawberry jelly, a favorite among her family, and she never turned down a bowl of butter pecan ice cream or a chance to enjoy live music with her friends.

Surviving is her loving family; children, Susan K Palumbo (Dave) of Gardners, JoAnn Miller (Rodger) of Gardners, Larry L Myers (Nicky) of Mt. Holly Springs, Jack E Kutz of Carlisle, David G Kutz Jr (Susan) of Mt. Holly Springs, Toby L Kutz of Mt. Holly Springs and Nena H Landers of Carlisle; brother, Donald W. Fahnestock of Newville, grandchildren; Clayton Foltz (Shawna), Dominic Palumbo, Joseph Palumbo (Katelyn), Bryanna Betz (Corey), Jennakah Cloward (Matthew), Austin Yingst (Kara), Carson Myers, Alex Myers (Kylee), Reese Landers and Tyler Kutz, great-grandchildren: Brooks and Blair Betz, Wren and Avery Cloward and Charlee Palumbo. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill E. Yingst and brother, Paul R. Fahnestock whom we have no doubt welcomed her into their loving arms.
