Shane Michael Wells

Shane Michael Wells, 41, of York, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born on September 4, 1985, in Springfield, MA, to Debroah Wells Martin.

Shane was a member of various groups such as the LLL Motorcycle Group, Full Throttle Therapy, Pack 7 Motorcycle Group, and the D and D Group. If you knew Shane, you knew his love for motorcycles. He enjoyed working on his motorcycles and especially riding. Shane most enjoyed out of riding was the freedom, the brotherhood, the roads, and the people he met along the way meant so much to him. He was one of those riders who could light up when talking about bikes and make you want to hear every story.

Beyond the motorcycle, Shane was an even better friend. He had the biggest heart and the kindest spirit. Shane was the kind of person who would help anyone who needed him, often without expecting anything in return. He made people feel welcome, looked out for others, and had a way of making you feel like you mattered.

In addition to his mother, Deborah Wells Martin of Carlisle, Shane is survived by his stepfather, William E. Martin of Carlisle; life partner, Jeni Vannoy of York; siblings, Ryan J. Wells of York, Brittany A. Crouse (Adam) of Lancaster, Braedon W. Martin of Carlisle, Avery R. Martin (Ashley) of Enola, Benjamin G-A Martin (Michaela Johns) of Harrisburg, and Abigail S. Martin of Carlisle; and nephews, Athen, Aven, Sawyer, Theodore, and Raynor. Shane was preceded in death by his grandfather, A. Keith Wells.
