Ruth Evelyn Brinton

Ruth Evelyn (Moore) Brinton, a resident of Forest Park, & formally of Newville & Carlisle lost her years long battle with her kidneys & heart on February 26, 2022. She was born in Carlisle July 26, 1933, to the late MSGT William H. and Gladys E. (Myers) Moore and was the widower of Eugene M Brinton, and later companion Ralph McKee.

She retired from Daily Express after 18 years as a billing clerk. Still sharp as a tack even though her body failed her, she enjoyed a hot cup of tea, reading mysteries, doing crossword puzzles, watching animated Disney movies and football. But her favorite things were feeding and watching the birds and squirrels from her window, enjoyed flowers, visiting with friends and family & she loved her four-legged companion, Tiny.

Ruth is survived by her biological sons, Lawrence of York PA & Daniel (Sonya) of Fairdale KY, her daughters Diane (Steven) Henry & Donna (Rob) Miller of Newville and her grandson William (Gloria), with whom she lived with for many years as well as his son, Marine Corporal Kristopher Brinton. She is also survived by 6 other grandchildren, Amanda & Lisa Brinton, Jacob & Joshua Henry, Samuel & Natalie Miller, & 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and companion, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Officer Jeremy Brinton.

Her sassiness will be deeply missed!
