Romaine Toner McCommons, 86, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the Claremont Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born March 29, 1939, in Carlisle to the late Mervin and Sylvia (Kuntz) Peck and was the widow of Park Toner and Chester McCommons.
Romaine was a past member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, VFW, and Eagles Post 1299. She took pride in decorating the Charlie Brown Tree in Mt. Holly Springs.
Surviving are her children, Park Toner of Mt. Holly Springs, Robin Toner of Carlisle and Donna Cohick of Mt. Holly Springs; sisters, Shirley Lovegrove and Patricia Gallegos; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Romaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Soprano and siblings, Bobby, Richard, Harry, and Betty.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will take place in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Rd, Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065, VFW Post 7343 in Mt Holly Springs, 424 N Walnut St, Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065, or American Legion Post 674 Ladies Auxiliary, 601 W Pine St, Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065.
