Richard Sowers

Richard K. Sowers, 90, of Gardners, PA passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born April 11, 1930 in Cumberland County to the late Gordon K. and Verna (Fanus) Sowers.

Richard worked for the Carlisle Area School District in Maintenance and was a member of the Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening and working on antique clocks and mowers.

Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley (Morrison) Sowers of Gardners; daughter, Jodi Schrade (Duane) of Mt. Holly Springs; loving granddaughter, Emily Schrade of Mt. Holly Springs; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley McLaughlin.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
