Rev. James Hayden

Rev. James A. Hayden, 64, of Altoona, PA, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 in Manor Care, Carlisle. He was born October 14, 1948 in Lafayette, IN to the late James H. Hayden and Mary Jane Hayden of Lafayette, IN. Rev. James has been a pastor with First Church of God since 1988, his last charge was Harmony Bethel Church in Dillsburg. He loved fishing and watching dirt track racing. James was a Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Heather E. (Joseph) Marshall of Carmel, IN; his son, Scott E. (Tabitha) Hayden of Carlisle; six grandchildren and his brother David (Sharon) Hayden of Lafayette, IN.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Services will be held in the Hippensteel Funeral Home & Crematory, 822 N.  9th St., Lafayette, IN. Burial will take place in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
