Reeves P. Andrews, 99, of Gardners, PA, formerly of Churchville, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at The Bridges at Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg. He was born on July 31, 1926, in Glade Valley, North Carolina, to the late Reeves and Minnie (Jennings) Andrews. He was the widower of Mary (Cole) Andrews after 60 years of marriage.
Reeves attended Harford County Schools graduating from Bel Air High School in 1944. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Force on base finance offices. In 1952, he graduated from Baltimore College of Commerce and went on to work at Famous and Spang Associates Insurance Agency in Aberdeen, Maryland as an insurance agent and retired in 1987.
An active Christian, he belonged to Oak Grove Baptist Church and served in a number of positions including Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Trustee, Missions Board, and Building Committee Chairman at the Susquehanna Baptist Association for 10 years. He also attended other Baptist Churches. He was a local volunteer representative for Wycliffe Bible translators for 13 years.
Surviving are his daughters, Ruth Andrews, Linda Andrews, and Paula Gillespie; two grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Jaimie Brunner; two great granddaughters, Hannah and Sophia Brown. In addition to his parents and wife, Reeves was preceded in death by his two older brothers and two older sisters.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM in the Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2106 Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD 21015. A private family interment will follow. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
