Opal Ruth Linah, age 86 of Mt. Holly Springs, PA passed away peacefully at a private home on November 23, 2019. Opal was born in Bonham, TX on September 17, 1933 to the late Elmer Lee and Leva Willie (Hardin) Langham. Opal married Harry Gates Linah Sr. on April 4, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. They were married 39 years before he preceded her in death in 1992. For many years Opal worked at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and previously at Forest Park, both in Carlisle. After she retired, she volunteered for Hospice. Opal loved taking care of people and always greeted everyone with a smile. She was blessed with the gift of gab, never meeting a stranger. “Nana” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she enjoyed cooking up her famous pot pie, time spent at the lake, and snuggling up to watch some daytime television.
Opal is survived by her three children, Deborah Manweiler and her husband Duff of Boiling Springs, PA, Sandra Linah of Overland Park, KS and Harry Jr. "Bo" of Carlisle, PA. ; Grandchildren, Shawn Darr and husband Todd, Heidi Thompson and husband Matt, Lauren Cox and husband Jared; and three Great-Grandchildren Cody, Mason, and Ella Darr. She was the last surviving sibling of eight children.
