Mildred Stoner

Mildred M. Stoner, 91, formerly of Gardners, PA “Went to be with Her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Life Care Hospital of Mechanicsburg, PA.  She was born on April 27, 1921 in Gardners, PA to the late Frank and Bertha Richwine Adams and was the widow of the late George M. “Skip” Stoner who passed on September 27, 2006.

Mildred had retired from the former Carlisle Tire and Wheel after 20 plus years of employment.  She was a member of the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church in Gardners.  She was active in her church, participating in the Adult Sunday School Class and the Visitation Committtee of the Church.  Some of Mildred’s interests were baking all kinds of goodies, gardening and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by six daughters; Patricia K. Malvolta and her husband James of Andover, NJ, Cathy J. Barrick and her husband Terry with whom Mildred resided with in Carlisle, Eileen A. Laughman and her husband Chuck of Shippensburg, Janice Louise Webb and her husband David of Hagerstown, MD, Dorothy I. VanNatta and her husband Robert of Altoona, and Irene M. Kough and her husband Michael of Newville, PA. She is also survived by three sisters; Doris Monismith, Sarah Albert and Jackie Spahr all of Carlisle, PA.  Mildred was preceded by a son, Mark Stoner and a daughter Alecia Lebo and eight brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Bryan L. Mann her pastor.  Interment will be held in the Mt. Victory Cemetery, Gardners, PA.  There will be a viewing on Friday evening, November 9, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The family request memorial contribution made to her church 1 Victory Church Rd., Gardners, PA. 17324.
