Mt. Holly Springs

Michelle Lee "Shellie" Spies has passed away in the late evening hours of May 28th, 2023. While tending her plants that she loved so dearly, she suffered a tragic accident that she was unable to recover from.

Michelle, known as Shellie to those closest to her, was born September 21st, 1969 to Frederick Spies and Pamela Boyer in Abingdon, Maryland. Shellie later moved to Pennsylvania with her mother, and settled there, building a life and family. She was a loving, kind hearted and accepting woman who only ever aimed to love the people around her. At the time of her passing, she was living in Mount Holly, Pennsylvania.

She loved to garden, sing praise music, play video games with her kids, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. Shellie was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and held Him close to her heart, always. She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Spies, her mother Pamela Boyer, and her uncle Bill Smith. She is survived by her three daughters, Josie, 30, Morgan, 26, and Mariah, 24, her loving and devoted son, Connor, 16, as well as three step-daughters, Samantha, Jen, and Brett; Shellie, known as MeMe to her grandchildren, also leaves behind more than ten grandchildren who she loved more than anything else in the world.

A celebration of life for Shellie will be held at a later date, TBD. Please contact one of her daughters for more information regarding any future services. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
