Mary Lou Sheriff

Mary Lou Sheriff, 82, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, in her home. She was born February 8, 1943, in Carlisle to the late Edgar E. and Dorothy J. (Miller) Hoover.

Mary retired from the State of PA and was owner/operator of Independent Drivers, where she also drove truck.  She was a member of the OOIDA, McClures Gap Church of God, AARP, and the PA 600 Club.

Surviving is her loving husband, Carl L. Sheriff of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Jamie C. Leibfried of Carlisle; and brother, Ronald L. Hoover. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Carl L. Sheriff, Jr.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
