Mary-Kathleen Copeland

Mary-Kathleen Copeland, 51, of Mt. Angel, OR passed away Tuesday, June 20 ^th , 2017 in her home in Gardners, PA.  She was born April 14, 1966 in Astoria, Oregon to her mother, Rose Mary Gafford Gallagher of Salem, OR and her late father, James Gallagher. Mary grew up in Salem, OR and had lived in various places in the US and Germany. She had recently moved to PA with her husband to be closer to their son. Mary always considered herself an Oregonian no matter where she lived. She considered her greatest accomplishment to have been a stay at home mom devoted to raising her son, Isaac. Mary had attained an Associate’s Degree in Travel and Tourism and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, honor society.

Mary is survived by her husband, Brian C. Copeland, whom she married in 1989, and son, Isaac J. Copeland.  Also surviving are her mother, Rose Mary Gallagher and siblings, Michael Gallagher of TN, Maureen Gallagher of Salem, OR and Colleen Gallagher Moist of Dundee, OR.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 30 ^th 2017 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mt. Angel, OR with Father Philip Waibel, OSB, celebrant. Prior to the Mass, the Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetary, Mt. Angel, OR. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, 636 W. Lexington St. Baltimore, MD 21201.
