Margie Jo Fish, 68, of Boiling Springs, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born on May 27, 1958, in Carlisle to the late Harry L. and Betty A. (Scott) Sweeney, Sr.
Margie was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Class of 1975. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to serving others, working at Allenberry through the 1980s, serving as co-owner of Peggy Mackey Home Personal Care Facility, and taking great pride in her work with the transport team at Carlisle Hospital.
Faith was at the heart of Margie's life. Every morning at 3:00 a.m., she would rise to read the Word of God and pray for the well-being of her family. She was an avid reader of biblical books and found comfort and strength in her faith, which she carried with her throughout her life.
Margie was beautiful inside and out. She had a heart full of love, kindness, and compassion, and she had a special way of making those around her feel cared for. Her love for her family was immeasurable, especially when it came to her beloved grandbabies, who brought her so much joy. She was also a talented photographer who loved capturing the beauty of nature. She and her husband cherished their summer and winter drives together, taking in the scenery and photographing the world around them. Through her lens, Margie found beauty in the simple things, just as she brought beauty into the lives of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Gene “Skip” Fish of Carlisle; her daughters, Shana Strohecker (Russ), Haven Martin (Josh), Hannah Parks (Glenn), son, Mark Fish; Jenna Peffer (Chad) granddaughter-daughter and her beloved grandchildren, Victoria and Isaiah, Dianna, Owen, Sawyer, Kaitlyn, Karlie and Logan and lastly, Zavieghn and Zanntrik, her great grandbabies, and the light of her world. She is also survived by her two loving siblings, LaDonna Miller and Skip Sweeney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jonnie Griswold.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family and burial will take place in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
