Luann Sue (Fahnestock) Brutko

Luann Sue (Fahnestock) Brutko, 67, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on May 23, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg. She was born on December 9, 1957, in Carlisle to the late Curtis and Evelyn (Rhoades) Fahnestock.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Herman (Derek) of Carlisle and Jessica Eshelman (Lee) of Panama City, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Sophia, Stella, and Blakelee; her devoted partner of 18 years, Robert Bollendorf of Mt. Holly Springs; siblings, Gail Freeland, Amy Fahnestock, and Jimmy Fahnestock; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Luann began her career at The Carlisle Sentinel and later retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. Outside of work, Luann found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Gardening wasn’t just a hobby; it was a true passion that reflected her nurturing spirit and love of beauty.

She was a proud member of the Midway Pool League for many years, where she enjoyed the game as much as the friendships she built. Luann loved spending time with her family, especially during summer picnics filled with laughter and good food. In quieter moments, she found comfort in cooking and watching her favorite shows—Dancing with the Stars and American Idol—always cheering on her favorites with enthusiasm.

Luann will be remembered for her kind heart, her green thumb, her competitive streak at the pool table, and the deep love she had for her family.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065, with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
