Lillian Hockley

Lillian Witherow Hockley, 90, of Gardners passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home. She was the widow of Robert Hockley who passed away September 28, 2003. Lillian was born June 19, 1923 in Toland, PA to the late William & Clara Bell Leiper Witherow.

A graduate of Carlisle High School Class of 1942, Lillian was also a lifetime member of the Toland Mission and taught Sunday School in the Children’s Dept. for many years. She worked at the former Trostle Garment factory and was a seasonal employee at C.H.Musselmans, Gardners. In her early years, she loved to sew and garden; later, she enjoyed keeping in touch with her family and friends.

Lillian is survived by her 3 sons: Robert & Sandy Hockley of Camp Hill, PA, Wayne & Sheila Hockley of Tampa, Fl and Eugene & Karen Hockley of Enola, PA.  Also surviving are 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandsons, 6 great granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with Rev. Leon Blosser officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made at www.hollingerfuneral.com.
