Lester McAlister

Lester R. McAlister, 73, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home. He was the widower of Pauline M. McAlister who passed away March 18, 2013. Lester was born January 24, 1940 in Shermansdale to the late Clarence & Mabel Miller McAlister. He was retired from Frog Switch of Carlisle and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union # 441. Lester loved to drive and visit the Hollywood Casino; he was an Army Veteran.

Lester is survived by four daughters; Theresa A. (Jack) Roth of Dillsburg, Gail M. (Jeffrey) Kuhn, and Lisa P. McAlister and her companion Jim Parkes, all of Mt. Holly Springs and; Leslie R. Ball of Carlisle. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and; his sister, Alice Gutshall of Carlisle. Lester was predeceased by his brother, Pete McAlister.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Rev. Arlene Dunn will officiate.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday at 10:00 AM.
