Larry E. Brenneman

Larry E. Brenneman, 87, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born on April 29, 1939, in Lower Allen Township, Pennsylvania, Larry was the son of the late Harry R. Brenneman and Olga Myers Brenneman.

Larry worked as a skilled millwright and was a proud member of Carpenters Local Union No. 287 in Harrisburg for 60 years. He was also the owner and operator of Brenneman's Garage, where he earned a reputation for honest, dependable workmanship.

Larry had a lifelong passion for automobiles and motorcycles. In his younger years, he raced motorcycles competitively and remained an avid auto racing fan throughout his life. Those who knew Larry will remember his mechanical skill, quick wit, and readiness to help whenever someone needed a hand.

He was a lifetime member of the Mechanicsburg Club and a member of American Legion Post 109.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry W. Brenneman; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa K. and Jeffrey E. Rohrer; his grandson, Jacob R. Orr, all of South Carolina; and his brothers, Russell J. Brennemanand Donald L. Brenneman.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl L. Brenneman and Kenneth J. Brenneman, and his sister, Kathleen Brenneman Corl.

In accordance with Larry's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Larry's memory.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Larry's caregivers and the staff of Residential Hospice of Carlisle for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided during his final days.
