LaMar Ordway

LaMar "Basil" Ordway, 87, of Carlisle, PA passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the Shippensburg Health Center. He was born June 11, 1931 in Shippensburg to the late Dorsey and Gail (Reath) Ordway and is the widow of Shirley (Kane) Ordway, who passed away August 27, 2018.

LaMar was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Conrail, where he worked maintenance. An outdoorsman, LaMar loved to go hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son Aaron L. Ordway and wife, Debee of Windsor, PA; granddaughter, Denise Ordway of Camp Hill; and siblings, Ronald Ordway and Bonnie Frey, both of Shippensburg and Cecil Ordway of Norristown. LaMar is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Ordway and siblings, Richard, Dorsey, Harold and Robert Ordway, Orpha Ripka, Bernita Kunkleman and JoAnn Zappia.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
