Kathryn D. Rowe

Kathryn D. (Deitz) Rowe, 88, of Newville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. She was born September 14, 1937, in Carlisle to the late Martin Luther and Kathryn D. (Duncan) Deitz. Kathryn was the widow of Earl Ray Rowe, Sr.

Kathryn worked in housekeeping at the Church of God Nursing Home in Carlisle. She loved spending time with her family, especially grandchildren. She loved fast food – especially going to KFC once a week. Kathryn was very much a homebody, spending the time sitting on her porch and watching hummingbirds.

Surviving are her children, Denise Lehman of Newville, Brenda Kauffman (Curtis) of Carlisle, Terry Rowe of Newville, and Roger Rowe of Newville; grandchildren, Earl Rowe III, Gary Lehman, Jr., Stephanie Olson, Melissa Lesher, Heather Kauffman, Alisha Kauffman, Nicole Natasky, and Nathan Rowe; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by her children, Earl Rowe, Jr., and Teresa Rowe; siblings, George Deitz, Eugene Deitz, Shirley Salisbury, Arlene Deitch; son in law, Gary Lehman.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Miracle Network, 205 W. 700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
