Joan Gress

Joan Gress, 70, formerly of Shippensburg, PA passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle, PA. She was born October 2, 1946 to the late  Ralph and Mary Beckner Smith in Waynesboro, PA.

Joan worked at Letterkenny Army Depot and the U. S. Post Office as a clerk. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter Laura Gress of Waynesboro; five sons, Richard Gress II of Carlisle, Jamie Gress of Blue Ridge Summit, Tim Gress of Waynesboro, Jason Gress of Stateline and Michael Gress of WV; and several grandchildren. Joan is also survived by seven siblings, Ralph Smith II of Chambersburg, Lorna Geesaman of Fort Louden, Alisha Stitley, Carla Kent of Bozeman, MT, Vicki Lemon of St. Thomas, Carol May of Chambersburg, and Rosie Wheeles of Fayetteville.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
