Joan Casner

Joan F. Casner, 83, of Newville, PA passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. Born December 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Lloyd W. and Emma (Darr) Brough Sr. Joan is the widow of Gene A. Casner, who passed away April 3, 2006.

Joan was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and her family was at the center of her life. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and loved her dog, Rink.

Surviving is her children, Robbin Rhoades and Brian L. Casner, both of Newville; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Lloyd Brough Jr. of Mt. Holly Springs and Reba Starner of Carlisle. Joan is preceded in death by a son, Randall Casner and brother, Kenneth Brough.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,  262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
