Jennifer Clifton

JENNIFER LYNNE CLIFTON of Harrisburg and formerly of the Newville/Carlisle area flew on the wings of angels to meet her Savior on November 27, 2019.  Jennifer was born on March 21, 1983 to Elaine (Shannon) Clifton and Wilbur H. Clifton Jr, both of Shippensburg. In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her son, Syre at home; brother, Shane C. (Shannon Shuttlesworth), and Shane’s daughter, Keira. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of Pennsylvania and North Carolina. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Wilbur H. and Inez (Andrews) Clifton, Faison, NC and Roy E. and Edith (Fraker) Shannon of Newville, PA.

Jennifer attended Bethel Christian Academy, Big Spring School, where she graduated and Harrisburg Area Community College.  For most of her career she worked in administrative/clerical jobs including assistant property manager, chiropractic assistant, billing, and telephone sales.  She considered her last and most important job as a stay at home mother loving, teaching and caring for her son.

Jennifer loved life.  Above all in her life she loved her son and her family.  She dedicated every waking minute of her life to her son, who was the light of her world.  She loved her friends, her enemies, animals, music, the NY Giants and the Bulls.  Jennifer was a kind, loving and generous person who would always try to provide any help needed to her family and friends.  She gave the greatest gift to one person on Thanksgiving evening which was the gift of life through her organ donation.  Thanks to Jennifer two other people will also have the gift of life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs., PA 17065. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to:  Benefit Fund of Syre Kenner, F&M Trust, 1901 Ritner Highway, Carlisle, PA.
