Janet Rickrode

Janet E. Rickrode, 82, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Gardners, PA passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born April 21, 1934 in Cumberland County to the late Sterling and Velma Wolford Starner and was the widow of Raymond L. Rickrode who passed away in 1978.

Janet retired from Forest Park Nursing Home and also worked for Dunkin Donuts. Crocheting and spending time with family were her favorite pastimes.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn D. (Terry L.) Hawbaker of Leesburg, FL and Sandra K. (Todd E.) Bender of Upperstrasburg; three grandchildren, Terry L. Hawbaker Jr. of Harrisburg, Brandi (Nelson)Newman of AL and Greg Bender of OK; and 7 great grandchildren. Janet was predeceased by brothers, Ralph, Donald, Clair and Leroy Starner and a sister, Darlene Galloway.
