Irene Books

Irene Kline Books, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 in the Watsontown Nursing & Rehab Center. She was the widow of Marlin Books who passed away Sept. 3, 2005. Irene was born November 4, 1926 in Biglerville, PA  to the late Walter Kline and Merle Cline Kline. She retired from PA Dutch Candies and was a former employee of Musselman's, Peach Glen. Irene was a member of the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her son, Steven E. Books of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Dawn Bolen of Nashville, TN and Ralph Books of Mechanicsburg; two great grandchildren Kayla & Kendra Henry of Mechanicsburg; and 5 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sue Carol Bolen who passed away June 15,1977.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Thomas Phillips her pastor officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Victory Cemetery. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the services on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to her church at 1 Victory Church Rd.
