Helen J. (Heim) Moore Kelly

Helen J. (Heim) Moore Kelly, 92, of Carlisle, PA, peacefully went into the arms of Jesus on April 25, 2025, in Bethany Village Home, Mechanicsburg. She was born August 10, 1932, in Williamsport, PA to the late Charles and Catherine M. (Farley) Heim, was the widow of her first husband, Ross J. Moore, who passed away in 1984, and her second husband, Willard G. Kelly, who died in 2018.

Helen was raised in Harrisburg on Chestnut Street and graduated from John Harris High School, class of 1950. God equipped her to be a homemaker. She was a dedicated mother, raising her children in Milton, PA. In her later years, Helen grew in her beliefs and put faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She became more appreciative, joyful, and helpful with age. Helen had a green thumb and loved caring for and sharing cuttings from her many houseplants that brightened her window sill. She loved her family and remained interested in their many activities throughout the years.

Surviving are her children, Karen Jones (Walter “Bud”) of Carlisle and J. Ross Moore (Elaine) of Lewistown; grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Rebecca Young, Timothy Jones, Natalie Steffen, and Hannah Yoder; fourteen great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dianna Plack of Harrisburg.

A Celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Rife Center at Bethany Village, 325 Wesley Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers or trees, please make memorial contributions to Central Oak Heights Association (COHA) sent in care of Jonathan Lippert, PO Box 60775, Harrisburg, PA 17106-0557 (On the memo line- In memory of Helen Kelly for the Capitol Fund). Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
