Glenn Myers

Glenn A. Myers, Jr., 88, of South Middleton Twp., Carlisle, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 21. He was the widower of Edith J. Myers who passed away on March 23, 2002. Glenn was born September 19, 1924 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Glenn A. and Helen Cook Myers Sr.

Glenn retired from the construction and masonry Union #1180. He completed much of stone work at Dickinson College and provided the stone. Glenn liked to hunt and fish, and loved to be around his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Annetti (Irvin) Tingle and his son, Glenn A. (Lori) Myers III, both of Carlisle. Glenn has three grandchildren: Brooke (Clinton) Murphy of Boiling Springs, Glenda (Corey) Binger of Newville and Nicole (John) Myers of Carlisle and five great grandchildren: Amber Martin, Hailey Thumma, Jessie Binger, Jillian Murphy and Conner Thumma. He also has a brother Fred Myers of West Virginia and was predeceased by two siblings, Edgar Myers and June Burnheisel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 25 at 10:00 AM, in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs with Rev.  Matthew D. Plant, officiating.  Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monroe Twp. The viewing will be held Wednesday evening, July 24 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 420 Park Dr., Carlisle, PA 17015
