Gilbert Geltmacher

Gilbert (Gil) Geltmacher, 91, of Blain, PA, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 9, 1928 in Lancaster, PA to the late Clayton S. and Grace M. (Fryburger) Geltmacher.
Gil retired from Wilco Electric, Columbia, PA. He was a life member of the Newport Sons of American Legion Post #177 and a life member of the Newport Social Order of Owls. An outdoorsman, Gill enjoyed hunting in Perry County and taking fishing trips to Lewis, DE.
He is survived by his son, Gilbert Geltmacher Jr. and wife, Cathy of Columbia; two daughters, Grace M. Geltmacher of New York and Jenny Stanley and husband, Jim of Marietta; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his companion, Amaryllis (Ril) Arnold, who passed away August 10, 2019.
