Gerald "Jerry" Melvin Nickel

Gerald “Jerry” Melvin Nickel, 68, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in his home. He was born on May 8, 1958, in Carlisle to Melva C. (Boyer) Nickel and the late Ronald J. Nickel.

Jerry was owner/operator of Jerry Nickel Logging where he loved what he did. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Above all, Jerry was a big family man and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving is his loving wife, Nina Nickel of Carlisle; children, Justin Nickel (Misti) of Alabama, Pete Nickel (Sarah) of Washington, PA, Carly Fisher (Jason) of Mt. Holly Springs, and Drew Nickel (Jackie) of Carlisle; grandchildren, Natalie Esparza-Nickel, Madalyn Nickel, Lauren Nickel, Charlotte Nickel, Audrey Fisher, Allie Fisher, Annie Fisher, Mason Nickel, and Reese Nickel; siblings, Ronnie Nickel, Jr., and Jimmy Nickel.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
