George Carpenter

George E. Carpenter, 79, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, in the Carolyn’s House, Harrisburg. He was born July 3, 1943, in Carlisle to the late Walter and Minnie (Barr) Carpenter.

George retired from Capital product after 22 years of service. He proudly served his county in the Marine Crops during Vietnam conflict. George loved recording and listening to music.

Surviving is his wife, JoAnn (Hawbaker) Carpenter of Mt. Holly Springs, children, Penny Cover of Shippensburg, Lisa Orndorff of Chambersburg, and George Carpenter, Jr., of Mt. Holly Springs; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Grogan of Carlisle. George was preceded in death by Kenneth and Robert Carpenter and Mary Wetzel.
