Gary M. Wiest

Gary M. Wiest, 71, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Shippensburg Rehab and Health Care Center. He was born May 22, 1954, in Harrisburg to the late Alvin and Mary (Motter) Wiest.

Gary worked for Vitro Glass Industries in Carlisle. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and carpentry work.

Surviving is his loving wife, Cheryl (Wener) Wiest of Carlisle; children, Brad Wiest of Perry County, Gary M. Wiest, Jr., of Carlisle, and Tina Brooker of Carlisle; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Carol Hummel of Mechanicsburg, Stewart Wiest of Mechanicsburg and Donna Horner of Mechanicsburg. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Tim Wiest and Eugene Motter.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Rd, Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
