Gary A. Kurtz

Gary A. Kurtz, 79, of Carlisle, PA, passed away February 12, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 30, 1945, in Carlisle, to the late William and Betty (Weaver) Kurtz.

Gary was a Boiling Springs High School Graduate, Class of 1963 and went on to work in maintenance for Belvedere Medical Center, Carlisle. He enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working in his garden outdoors and watching old western films. In his spare time, he would read books and solve jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving is his loving wife, Evelyn (Wolfe) Kurtz of Carlisle; children, Lisa Christopher (Todd) of Marysville and Gregory Kurtz (Shannon) of Carlisle; grandchildren, Jamie Christopher of Marysville, Samantha Fulfer of Utah, and Hannah Fulfer of Carlisle; and brother, Donald Kurtz (Julie) of Carlisle. Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Kurtz.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Pkwy, #110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
