G. Joanne (Beaver) Largent

Joanne (Beaver) Largent, 83, of Carlisle, PA, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on June 20, 1941, to the late Frank L. and Dorothea R. (Schenck) Beaver.

Joanne met the love of her life, James E. Largent, Sr., during her senior year of high school, and the two were married a year later. They shared 65 wonderful years together. Joanne worked in retail for most of her life, and she also operated a successful tax preparation business. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. Her beautiful smile and pleasant demeanor could light up a room, and her customers at JCPenney and Bon-Ton never let her forget it. Joanne especially loved Christmastime and would often play Christmas music at home during the hot summer months. Choosing stocking stuffers was one of her favorite holiday traditions—a quiet act of love she carried out year after year.

Joanne is survived by her beloved husband, James E. Largent, Sr.; her son, James E. Largent, Jr. (Judi); her daughter, Kimberly Largent; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Toby.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Joanne’s legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
