Freda "Jane" Harry

Freda Jane Harry, 91, and formerly of McAlister Church Rd., Carlisle, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Mervin E. Harry who passed away January 14, 1999. Freda was born February 26, 1921 in Pine Grove Furnace to the late Harvey C. and Lottie McElwee Hockley.  She was a former laborer with Hughes Aircraft, in Southern California and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Freda loved to do crossword puzzles, was a great baker of pies and liked to watch game shows on TV.
She is survived by her brother, Lester and Anna Hockley and a sister, Mildred Baughman, all of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her son, Mervin E. Harry who passed away August 1, 1941; two sisters, Arvina Paxton and Revenda Hockley; and five brothers, Charles, Herbert, Sylvester, William, and Kenneth Hockley.
