Fred Nicklis

Fred Nicklis, 80, of Carlisle, PA, who was a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at home. He was born February 8, 1942, in Langdondale, PA, to the late Fred and Beulah (Lodge) Nicklis. 

Fred retired from AMP Inc with almost 30 years of employment and then worked at Weis Market of Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed sitting on his back porch, hunting, fishing, antiquing, and traveling. Fred especially loved playing with his great granddaughter and breakfast with his men’s group.

Surviving is his wife, Donna Nicklis; children, Autumn (Steve) Phy and Fred Nicklis II; grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Hoover and Danielle Latham; great granddaughter, Callie Hoover; and many appreciated nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his siblings. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the Meeting House Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Rev. Bob Verno officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services and a luncheon will be held at 1:00 PM.  Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
