Frances D. Tennis

Frances D. Tennis, 90, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in the Sarah Todd Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born on September 27, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph and Sarah (Kee) Gaffney and was the widow of Clayton Tennis who passed away in January of 2011.

Frances enjoyed creating ceramics, taking walks, and camping.

Surviving are her children, Colleen Tennis, Eileen Kell (George), Clayton Tennis (Angela), and John Tennis (Jeanne); seven grandchildren, Nicole, Mandy, Lauren, Derrick, Alyssa, Adrianna, and Bonnie; and siblings, Joseph Gaffney, Michael Gaffney (Kathy), Theresa Overton (Bob), Patricia Hutchins (Terry); and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Good, Mary Koller, and Kathryn McBride.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, November 5, at 11:00 AM in the Tri-County Memorial Gardens, 740 Wyndamere Rd, Lewisberry, PA 17339. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
