Florence Rosaschi

Florence (Crowley) Rosaschi passed away after 96 beautiful laps around the sun.

Florence and her sister, Mildred (who passed away in 2015), were raised by their loving parents in Brooklyn, New York. The bond between the two sisters remained a constant source of joy, support, and strength throughout their lives.

A woman ahead of her time, she spent 13 years in advertising in NYC. In February 1958, Florence met the love of her life, Peter “Paul”, and by July they were married, beginning a partnership that would span more than six decades. Their devotion to one another created a home filled with faith, love, laughter, and unwavering support. The loss of her husband after 62 years of marriage was one of life's deepest sorrows, but their enduring love remained a source of strength and comfort.

By 1970, Florence and Peter Paul were the proud parents of seven children (the Lucky 7) and had settled in Monroe, New York. There, she created a warm and welcoming home that became a gathering place for family, friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of a seat at the table.

Florence devoted herself to caring for her family. She managed a busy household with remarkable grace, balancing countless responsibilities while ensuring everyone felt cared for and loved. She expressed that love in many ways, including through her cooking, preparing everything from handmade rice balls and ravioli to creative soups made from whatever ingredients were on hand. Every meal was made with care and began with a prayer of gratitude.

Life in Monroe included dogs, cats, horses, a pony, chickens, a goat, and a steady stream of visitors. Florence had a gift for making people feel welcome. Friends quickly became family, and all who entered her home were treated with kindness and generosity.

When she became a grandmother, affectionately known as Nana, her capacity for love seemed to grow even more. She was the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family and remained deeply grateful for the many blessings in her life.

Her faith was the foundation of everything she did. It was reflected in her compassion, her willingness to forgive, her devotion to family, and her concern for others. She approached life with humility, kindness, and a quiet strength that touched everyone around her.

Florence also possessed a sharp mind and wonderful wit. Whether the topic was politics, sports, history, or a bit of trivia, she was always engaged, informed, and ready with thoughtful observation. Those who knew her best often experienced her incredible understanding and grasp of the world around her.

Words cannot fully capture the extraordinary woman Florence was. Her humility often concealed the depth of her faith, strength, courage, and love. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and grace.

Florence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by The Lucky 7+7+ 23 + + +. Her children: Ellen Linares (Fran) of Charlotte, NC; Nora Habig (Mike) of Carlisle, PA; Peter, III, (Beth) of Steubenville, OH; Daniel, (Sharon) of Monroe, NY; Thomas, (Liz) of E. Syracuse, NY; John, (Sue) of Bel Air, MD; and Amy Pinto (Frank) of Land O Lakes, FL. Her grandchildren: Anna, Lauren, Erin (Ryan), William, Katie (Rob), Lindsey (Mark), Peter (Marianna), Michael (Molly), Suzie (Austin), Emily, Sarah (Matt), Charles, Edward, Margaret, James, Abigail, Tommy (Shelby), Joe, Luke, Jake, Nick, Allison (Broc) and Franky; great grandchildren: Shelby, Sawyer, Josephine, Miles, Connor, Patrick, Ellie, JJ, Peter, James, and more on the way. In addition to her husband, Mom was predeceased by her two grandsons Daniel and Teddy.

We are all so grateful for mom and dad’s reunion in heaven. In her 96th year, mom got in her final Crowley goodbye . . . we were glad for every minute with her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the St. Patrick Shrine Church, 152 E Pomfret St, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Father George Valliamthadathil as celebrant. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
