Esther Darnell

Esther Darnell, 75, formerly of Buckeye, WV passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA. She was born April 15, 1941 in Monroe Twp., PA to the late Edward and Annie Garman Witter. She was the widow of Gene Edward Darnell. Esther worked at the West Virginia Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by a daughter, Natalie (Gary) Day of Gardners; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Charles Witter of Carlisle, Ray Witter of TX, and Merle Witter of Mechanicsburg; sisters, Betty Nelson of CO, Alma Quigley of Carlisle and Martha Neff of Perry County; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. William E. Pipp officiating in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery, Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
