Emma Jane Kuhn, 84, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on April 2, 2026. She was born on April 5, 1941, in Shippensburg, PA, to William H. and Mildred E (Drexler) Ruth. Emma is a graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School Class of 1959.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David W Kuhn, whom she married sixty-three years ago after traveling to McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas with his family. Together, they raised four children and shared many global adventures as an Air Force family before returning to the Cumberland Valley settling in Mt. Holly Springs in 1980. Also surviving are her children: Scott R. Kuhn (Amy Beth); Kelly R. Warner (Rev. Brian); Keith D. Kuhn (Angie); and Stephanie Stauffer (Allen), eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and siblings William (Billy), Evelyn, Mary, Martha, Margaret, and Linda. Emma was predeceased by her parents and siblings John (Robert), Janet, and Susan.
After over 20 years of service, Emma Jane retired from the Carlisle Army War College. She worshipped at the Churchtown Church of God and was a member of the Sisters in Grace. Emma was happiest in her special place, 'the kitchen' whipping up homecooked meals and scrumptious desserts. She had a green thumb and lived for springtime which led to beautiful flowers surrounding the home. She loved the thrill of a 'good bargain' at yard sales, along with motorcycle rides and RV camping adventures with David.
Emma Jane cherished time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Memorial services will take place Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Churchtown Church of God, 351 Old Stonehouse Road, Boiling Springs, PA 17007, officiated by Rev. Brian Warner. Visitation is one hour before the service, and a light luncheon will follow at the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be private at Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
