Dorothy N. Sheaffer

Dorothy N. Sheaffer, 98, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on March 25, 2024, in the Green Ridge Village Nursing Home, Newville, PA. She was born February 28, 1926, in Newville to the late Paul and Ruth (Sollenberger) Negley. She was predeceased on December 24, 1987, by her loving husband, Boyd W. Sheaffer.

Dorothy graduated from Newville High School, class of 1944 and was a graduate of Carlisle Commercial College, class of 1945. She worked for Hershey Chocolate Receiving Station in Newville in 1945. In 1953, she worked for the United Telephone Company as a telephone operator in Newville. She was a member of the Newville Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond L. Negley.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor John F. Hess officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be held in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
