Donald R. Delp

Donald R. Delp, 73, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on June 3, 2024, at the Mercy House in Chambersburg. He was born January 14, 1951, in Carlisle to the late Glenn William and Arlene (Weiser) Delp.

Donald was a Boiling Springs High School graduate. He went on to work for a Dry Cleaner in Carlisle and Dickinson College, where he worked in the cafeteria washing dishes. He participated in a program run by ARC which allowed him to work in their center for industrial training where he was in the shipping department. Donald most recently worked in Newville at the Red Tomato Farm and Inn, where he did numerous tasks. He was a very active person, loving to fish, bowl, throw horseshoes, and play pool. Donald was an avid Washington Red Skins Fan and Baltimore Orioles Fan. He especially enjoyed attending baseball games for both the Harrisburg Senators and the Baltimore Orioles.

Surviving are his siblings, Dennis Delp (companion, Carol Weiser) of Gardners; Larry Delp (Peg) of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; sister, Annette Brown (Don) of Tuscon, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Uriah United Methodist Church, 925 Goodyear Road, Gardners, PA 17324 with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 and one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will take place in Uriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties, 71 Ashland Ave., Carlisle, PA 17013.
