Deborah Kay Bream, 62, of Carlisle, PA in the early morning of Thursday, February 16, 2017 passed from the loving arms of her earthly family into the arms of Lord Jesus. Born in Cumberland County on January 18, 1955, to the late Mervin Jay and Cleista Mae March.
Debbie began playing the piano and singing, she performed with Carlisle High School choir. She played music for her Lord at many churches; the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren where she also played for the choir, at the Bermudian Church of the Brethren where she was choir director, and most recently at the Brooklyn, NYFirst Church of the Brethren as a member of the SonShine Praise Team. Debbie was a Medical Assistant at Three Springs Family Practice in Mt. Holly Springs. She loved watching her son play football and baseball and was especially proud of the Newville Little League team that went to the state championship in 1993. She loved and was well loved by her family, neighbors, and church family. Debbie was well taken care of in her last days at Holy Spirit Ortenzio Heart Center.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jonathan Wade Bream. They were married under the apple tree at their home on Kutz Road August 13, 1993 by the Rev. Robert Baldwin. Also surviving Debbie is a son, Christopher Bucher(Kimberly) of Gardners; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, ChyAnn, and Wyoming; five step-grandchildren, Austin, Joshua, James, Skyler, and Hailey; great-granddaughter, Autumn;brother, Michael (Merry) March of Gardners. Aunt Pam (Kirk) Gitt of Carlisle was raised with her like a sister; numerous aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews are also surviving.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Carlisle First Churchof the Brethren,1340 Forge Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Janice Custer officiating.Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service in the church. Burial will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association,1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043 or the Brooklyn First Church of the Brethren Musical and Sound System Fund, 358 60 th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11220.
