David P. McVaugh, Sr.

David P. McVaugh, Sr., 76, of Fife Lake, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at UPMC West Shore Hospital.

Born on March 30, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, David proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 22 years, retiring with the rank of Senior Chief Gunner's Mate. His dedication, service, and commitment to his fellow sailors were a source of great pride throughout his life.

In accordance with his wishes, David's remains will be laid to rest at sea.

He is survived by his children, April Pierce, Mary Lockwood, and David McVaugh, Jr.; his grandchildren, Cody, Alex, Curtis and Taylor; and his great grand-son, Thane.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Loraine Molmen.

He will be remembered for his years of faithful military service and will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him."
