David Elsesser

David E. Elsesser, 76, of Upper Frankford Twp., Newville passed away Saturday, May 18, at his home. He was born April 30, 1937 in York to the late Elwood Elder and Katherine Williams Elsesser.  David retired from the Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co. and was a member of the Celebration Community Church, Dillsburg. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Deer Haven Hunting Camp, Hillsgrove, PA. David also liked to cook and enjoyed working on his computer.

David is survived by his wife, Violet N. Shuttleworth Elsesser; his son, David M. of Shippensburg; and his daughter, Karen L. (Michael) Valek. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother, Michael Elsesser of Cumberland, MD and his sister, Jacklyn Harris of New Jersey. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Kuhn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 25 at 11:00 AM in the Celebration Community Church, 1048 South Mountain Rd, Dillsburg, PA 17019 with the Rev. Michael Hammer officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to a reception following services on Saturday, at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
